At aggity we have had the pleasure of participating in the Smart City Expo World Congress 2024 event, within the Smart Ports: Piers of the Future space, which was held on November 5 and 6, 2024. At this international forum dedicated to technological innovation for ports around the world, the company was able to take part in the round table entitled “How to Capitalize on the Transformative Power of AI”. In the panel, experts discussed how artificial intelligence (AI) impacts decision-making and optimises complex processes. Through practical examples, participants highlighted the crucial role of AI in the decarbonisation of ports, specifically in route optimisation and the analysis of CO2 emissions. They also addressed the importance of AI in improving cybersecurity, with the Port of Barcelona as an example of the integration of these technologies to strengthen its systems. Another key point of the intervention was the recognition of the challenges that still face the implementation of AI, such as the need for quality data and the development of specialized talent in data science. The experts agreed that AI is a strategic ally, but it must be adopted with realistic expectations to take advantage of its full potential. aggity Supports the Contigo Foundation at its Annual Dinner

At aggity, Corporate Social Responsibility is a fundamental pillar of our identity. This year, we have had the honor of collaborating once again with the Contigo Against Women’s Cancer Foundation, supporting its mission to promote research and improve outcomes in the fight against breast cancer. This year, over 400 people joined us at the Foundation’s Annual Dinner at La Llotja de Mar in Barcelona, an event that not only celebrates generosity and solidarity but also drives the vital research needed to combat this devastating disease. We appreciate the presence of the Honorable Mayor Jaume Collboni Cuadrado, whose support is crucial for our initiatives. During the dinner, Dr. Javier Cortés, president of the Contigo Foundation, gave an eloquent presentation that reminded us of the urgency of our cause. On this occasion, a grant of €80,000 was awarded to a research project focused on validating genetic variants involved in the behavior of breast and endometrial cancer. This is a significant step in the fight against cancer, as the Foundation currently has 20 research projects underway. Dr. Cortés emphasized the importance of research to save lives, reminding us that each year, over 7,000 women in Spain face breast cancer. It is essential that we continue to work together to eradicate this disease. His message resonated deeply, highlighting the need for a collective commitment to research and support for initiatives that make a difference. We want to express our gratitude to the Foundation’s Patrons, whose tireless effort and dedication have allowed the Foundation to continue reaching new milestones in cancer research and treatment advancement. IBM Think 2024 bets on Generative Intelligence and It Automation solutions

Today we had the pleasure of attending Think Madrid 2024, an annual event of our partner IBM, a must-attend event for leaders, entrepreneurs and technology experts. On this occasion, the focus was on Generative Artificial Intelligence and IT Automation solutions, key areas for both IBM and us at aggity. The meeting, which aimed to learn how to maximize and streamline the profitability of AI projects, foster productivity and innovation, and connect professionals and industry experts, was a great success. IBM has presented its latest developments within the field of AI and automation such as: IBM Concert, a platform that automates IT operations using AI. InstructLab, an open source project designed to foster collaborative innovation in AI. IBM Consulting Advantage, an AI services platform. In addition, during the day, new AI use cases and functionalities of one of the platforms that we already integrate in aggity with IBM, such as watsonx, were presented. On July 8th, aggity had the pleasure of attending the eighth edition of the meeting «Mobility Dialogues» through our advisor and Partners & Alliances manager Juan Ignacio Soler-Cabot Serra. A conference organized by the mobility cluster IN-MOVE by Railgrup where professionals, company representatives and authorities of the sector gathered to discuss and show the latest innovations and trends in sustainable mobility. During the day, topics such as mobility, climate change challenges, the importance and innovation related to digital transformation and current issues such as data management and its use in AI technologies were discussed. aggity appoints Diego Viudes as new commercial director for the spanish business

The Spanish technology multinational aggity has appointed Diego Viudes as commercial director of the company’s activity in our country. In this position, Viudes will be responsible for coordinating commercial actions and boosting sales in all business areas of the organization in collaboration with the different aggity managers. Prior to his current appointment, Viudes was responsible for Microsoft’s enterprise solutions division within aggity. Diego Viudes holds a degree in telecommunications engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and a Master’s degree in ICT management from the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). aggity’s new Sales Director for Spain started his professional career as a consultant at Baan Business Systems and later joined Watermark/ Qurius as a project manager and technical consultant. Subsequently, I worked in SAS Prefabricados de Hormigón in different positions in the technological field, as well as in the companies Prodware Spain and Cosmo Consult, leading teams and projects. Prior to joining aggity last March, Viudes was Partner & Global Key Account Manager at the IT consulting company Enterprise Quality Management. According to Diego Viudes, «it is very exciting to assume these new responsibilities because aggity,with a leading offer of solutions and services that respond to the digitalization needs of companies in different sectors of activity, is at a very important time to grow in the different markets in which it operates and strengthen the relationships it maintains with its current customers».
