aggity Supports the Contigo Foundation at its Annual Dinner
At aggity, Corporate Social Responsibility is a fundamental pillar of our identity. This year, we have had the honor of collaborating once again with the Contigo Against Women’s Cancer Foundation, supporting its mission to promote research and improve outcomes in the fight against breast cancer.
This year, over 400 people joined us at the Foundation’s Annual Dinner at La Llotja de Mar in Barcelona, an event that not only celebrates generosity and solidarity but also drives the vital research needed to combat this devastating disease. We appreciate the presence of the Honorable Mayor Jaume Collboni Cuadrado, whose support is crucial for our initiatives.
During the dinner, Dr. Javier Cortés, president of the Contigo Foundation, gave an eloquent presentation that reminded us of the urgency of our cause. On this occasion, a grant of €80,000 was awarded to a research project focused on validating genetic variants involved in the behavior of breast and endometrial cancer. This is a significant step in the fight against cancer, as the Foundation currently has 20 research projects underway.
Dr. Cortés emphasized the importance of research to save lives, reminding us that each year, over 7,000 women in Spain face breast cancer. It is essential that we continue to work together to eradicate this disease. His message resonated deeply, highlighting the need for a collective commitment to research and support for initiatives that make a difference.
We want to express our gratitude to the Foundation’s Patrons, whose tireless effort and dedication have allowed the Foundation to continue reaching new milestones in cancer research and treatment advancement. A special thanks to Cristina Bigelli, Rosa Mari Lleal Tost, Oscar Pierre, Merche Costa, Mireia Blanc, Ana Figueras Dotti, Isabel Martinez-Cosentino Ramos, Montse Almirall Civit, Isabel Rubio, Clara Balletbò, Carmen Pérez Solano, Laura García Estévez, José Manuel Pérez, María José Caruana, and the Foundation’s director, Verónica Sagnier.
At aggity, we are committed to continuing our support for research to improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of breast cancer.
